GENERAL NOTES
FOR PARTICIPANTS

1.  Participants are to make their own arrangements for transport, overnight accommodation, breakfast & evening meal. Assistance in doing this is available from the Course Booking Agent .

2.  *As stated above the cost of the course includes all basic materials for construction of both movement and case - apart from the hands, and one or two customisations which the discerning participant may wish to make by prior arrangement e.g. personalised cartouche. Details such as this will be discussed and agreed with participants in sufficient time for orders to be placed with suppliers & engravers.

3.  The pace and nature of the course is tailored to accommodate a range of participants' skills and prior experience, but contact time in the workshop is limited and will need to be used efficiently.

4.  The timing of each weekend session, at four weekly intervals, will enable participants to do additional work at home according to their own needs, capabilities and preferences.

5.  For those who do not have access to the necessary workshop facilities, the basic clock can be built from components provided by Melvyn Kaye. This will ensure that every participant has the opportunity to complete, and own, the replica 18c longcase clock they have worked on during the course.
